Then we went walkabout ....

We knew we were only a few minutes away from the Sydney waterfront, so set off to find it - which we did after a bit of a false start.

It was very vibrant down there with lots of people enjoying a Saturday evening out.  The disappointment was that the Bridge wasn't lit up initially, although they did switch the lights on a bit while we were there, but the Opera House was never lit up at all.

The dockside here is reminiscent of when the cruise ships dock in Liverpool.  You can walk along the waterfront normally but they can seal it off when cruise ships dock so as to create the ship's favourite secure area around the ship!
