Tour of Northern Sydney and Manly Beach with airport drop off

As usual we were expected to leave the ship on the last day at around 8.30am.  As we couldn't check in to the hotel until 2pm we decided to do our occasional trick of booking a ship's shore excursion with airport drop off.

Some of the photos were taken from the coach, hence the reflections from the window.

Lovely view spoiled by a service pipe!

The sand is so fine here

These are views from Fairfax Lookout on North Head, part of the Sydney Harbour National Park.

Entrance to Sydney Harbour. The sea is on the left and when Captain Cook sailed by, he didn't see that there was the inlet round to the left leading to what is now Sydney and described it as "an insignificant bay"!
