Sydney Cricket Ground - Reception and Allianz Stadium

Sydney Cricket Ground is actually part of a larger complex which consists of the cricket ground itself plus the Allianz Stadium and other sports facilities.

Alan Davidson

Our guide - Nick from Dronfield!

I can remember Jack Brabham as a great racing driver of the 1950s.
A number of riders were also killed here ....

Allianz Stadium

They'd like to reformat this bar - the queues get too long!

Said to be the largest screen in the southern hemisphere

The stadium is set below road level - the white sign opposite shows the road level.  The shell shape of the stadium and the fact that it's lower than the street both help to reduce noise for the neighbours - none of whom seem to live very near to the stadium!

Amora Hotel - Second Stay

View from our window - 10th floor this time rather than the 24th!
